Part Sources and Tips

Blind Repairs

As we work with Blind Cleaners across the country, one comment we hear often is “I quite working with repairs because the parts were so hard to get a hold of.” While we can’t guarantee that every part needed is available, these sources and tips should be a great help to you.

Cautions:  Beware of exorbitant pricing for parts – most blind parts are sold at a premium mark-up due to the time and trouble involved with handling.  Some sites, however, charge $20-$40 dollars for parts that are easily found for $3 - $6 + shipping somewhere else.

II. Blind Cleaners & Blind Repairers:

     A.   Current Parts

            1.   Local blind fabricators with whom you have opened an account.

They don’t like dealing in $1-$5 orders unless you do more for their business than buying parts - they don’t make money on parts sales.

            2.   Wholesale Parts Suppliers - Sell in Large Quantities or Case Lots

windowblindsparts.com  (fair prices on small quantities)

For those that buy in larger quantities or need a lot of one type for commercial job supplies

3.       Websites with Parts for Order – See list above of companies.

Several sites are working on offering discount programs for blind repair and blind cleaners with accounts.  (We'll update this shortly)

4.       Blindcleaners.biz – Kits

Blindcleaners.biz has offered repair kits that contain several of the most popular parts needed.  Contact them for more details.

B.  Obsolete Parts:

1.   Blindsparts.com - Site has good photographs to use for reference or to have customers tell you what they need over the phone

**These guys have more than they show on the internet.

(Warning: Patience needed as service response times can be slow at times.)

Feel free to suggest other sites.  We are expanding information on the new website currently under construction.  Your participationg is welcome!
